Data Centre Services

We help data centre and server room owners in Malaysia keep their build on track, then keep the facility running with regular servicing and fast help when something breaks.

From build to breakdown, gaps cost you

01 · Build

Contractors work to their own plan, not the owner's.

02 · Maintain

Servicing gets skipped until something breaks.

03 · Repair

When it fails, nobody knows who responds or how fast.

Our data centre services

01

Project and Contractor Management

We act for the owner during the build, keeping the plan, suppliers and contractors on the same page and working to one handover date.

Everyone on site working to the same plan.

02

Preventive Maintenance

Regular servicing on a set schedule, recorded against each piece of equipment, so problems are caught before they cause a breakdown.

Corrective and Emergency Response

Help on site when something fails, with response times agreed in advance, so everyone knows what to expect.

How the three connect

Most data centres are built by one team and looked after by another. When both work from the same records, what was learned during the build is still there for the people running the facility years later.

Build

The plan, suppliers and contractors coordinated on the owner's behalf.

Maintain

Regular servicing on a set schedule, recorded against each piece of equipment.

Repair

Help on site when something fails, within agreed response times.

How we work

The same four steps on every project, so you always know where things stand.

1

Understand the site

For a build, we look at the plan, who is involved and any limits we must work within. For maintenance, we inspect the facility and record what is actually installed.

2

Agree the plan

For a build, we agree the schedule, the order of work and who is responsible for what. For maintenance, we agree the servicing schedule and response times.

3

Deliver and supervise

For a build, we supervise the site, coordinate suppliers and report progress. For maintenance, we carry out the work on schedule.

4

Report and hand over

We hand over progress and completion reports, updated equipment records and a walkthrough for your operations team. Your own team runs the facility.

Why it matters

Control

One point of contact across everyone on site, so problems come up early rather than at the end of the project.

Reliability

Regular servicing catches small problems before they turn into failures.

Speed

When something breaks, everyone already knows who responds and how fast.

Why Grayscale360

We started in digital work, building websites and systems for large organisations. That taught us how projects, approvals and supplier relationships actually run.

Frequently asked questions

What is data centre project management?

Data centre project management means looking after the owner's interests while a facility is being built or upgraded. It covers planning, coordinating suppliers and contractors, keeping the schedule on track and supervising the site. The contractors do the building. The project manager makes sure it is built to the owner's requirements and timeline.

What is the difference between preventive and corrective maintenance?

Preventive maintenance is regular servicing on a set schedule to stop equipment from failing. Corrective maintenance is the repair after something has already failed. A facility that relies mostly on repairs is usually one where regular servicing was cut back.

What does a maintenance schedule usually cover?

Routine inspection and servicing on monthly, quarterly and yearly cycles, each recorded against the equipment it relates to. Grayscale360 sets the exact schedule after inspecting the facility, because a small server room and a large data centre do not need the same frequency.

How are emergency response times agreed?

They are agreed in advance, based on how serious the fault is. A failure that puts the whole facility at risk gets a faster response than a minor fault, and who to call for each is written down beforehand.

Why do equipment records matter?

Because everything else depends on them. Servicing, fault finding, audits and even selling the facility all rely on knowing what is installed and what has been done to it. Without records, maintenance is guesswork.

Can you maintain a data centre you did not build?

Yes. Grayscale360 starts by inspecting the facility and recording what is actually installed. This first step often uncovers issues the owner did not know about.

Do you work on small server rooms, or only large data centres?

Both. The scope and cost depend on the size of the facility and how critical it is. A company server room does not need the same level of planning as a large data centre.
